In August 2010, All Inclusive (in partnership with Imagine Create Express) launched a pilot scheme.  The ICE Academy is an intensive course running over a number of weeks where young people receive tuition in all aspects of live music performance.  Participants can choose which area they would like to study.  Instrument tuition for beginner to intermediate level is offered on guitar, bass, drums and keyboards, as well as vocal training, all delivered by experienced tutors and musicians.  Training is also given in performance and presentation, media and promotions, live sound engineering, recording techniques and staging events.  The final aspect of training is financial capability, with a strong focus on understanding the finance which underpins not only the music industry but everyday life, including budgeting, planning and monitoring.  The project culminates in a live performance to which all project participants contribute, whether as performers, technical crew or behind the scenes.  The participants are responsible for finding and booking a venue, organising acts to perform, marketing and ticketing, organising refreshments, merchandising and hosting.
