AAT Accounting Levels 1, 2 and 3
Starting in June, All Inclusive will be offering the AAT Accounting qualification, at levels 1, 2 and 3.
Why take AAT Accounting?
The AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) are an internationally recognised organisation, with over 120,000
registered members and students.
The AAT Accounting qualification is designed to give you a solid base of accounting principles and skills to build
on throughout your career. With new revised standards this year, the qualification is right up-to-date and a great
way to stand out in your company or the job market.
The AAT is a qualification undertaken for many reasons. You may see it as a way of entering the world of accountancy
and finance, in the whole range of professions from bookkeeper to financial or management accountant or auditor. You
may want to learn more about the theories underpinning your current job role. You may see it as an invaluable aid to
career progression. You may have many years financial experience and now want a formal qualification. The AAT Accounting
qualification can open up many doors in your future career.
What does the course offer?
AAT Accounting is split into three levels of qualification, levels 1, 2 and 3. No previous qualification is needed to enroll
on the course at level 1.
At the first level you’ll learn finance administrator skills, such as double entry bookkeeping, basic costing principles, and
purchase, sales and general ledgers. This level is roughly equivalent to GCSE grades A – C.
The second level covers more complex finance officer processes, including final accounts for sole traders and partnerships, reports
and returns, and professional ethics. It’s the approximate equivalent of an A-Level, or Higher.
The final level deals with finance team leader skills, including financial statements for limited companies, complex management
accounting tasks, management skills and specialist learning areas.
How long will it take?
The qualification is made up of three levels, and each level is a qualification in its own right. You can expect to spend about a
year on each level. If you already have qualifications or experience, you may be able to start studying at a higher level.
